Farewells clicker Launch Week Notes

What is true on 17 August 2026, and what is still a Steam tab away.

Last updated:

Farewells Clicker left the demo calendar and became a paid Steam 1.0 title on 17 August 2026. The official post is titled “Patch 1.0 - Release patch note.” This page is the launch-week companion: price window, news-feed status, which app to install, and the reading order that stops you from treating a February bug thread as today’s patch.

The numbered changelog still lives on Patch 1.0. June history lives on demo patches. Strategy lives on the Guides Hub.

What the news feed contains right now

The Steam news API for app 4264950 returned four community posts, newest first:

  1. Patch 1.0 — release note (buildings, nodes, Creative Mode, late-game balance, QoL).
  2. Next Fest Broadcast - IdleCub — a discovery stream pointer to IdleCub’s YouTube and Twitch, not a changelog.
  3. Patch 0.6.2 — Storm, tutorial, ultrawide, locked-node audio.
  4. Patch 0.6.0 — Next Fest content drop.

There is no 1.0.1 in that feed on launch day. Team Square said they will push bug fixes from player reports over the coming weeks and may do future updates depending on how the game does. Until a new gid appears, do not write “hotfix landed” on a wiki rumor.

Price and platforms

The store showed an introductory −15% offer listed through 31 August 2026. A European API snapshot sat near 7,10€ → 6,03€. US storefronts listed a similar indie price band around launch. Confirm the widget on the Steam page before you treat any number as a coupon code. There are no redeemable promo codes.

Platforms: Windows and macOS, single-player, Steam Cloud, 26 achievements, family sharing. Linux is not a promised store toggle in the snapshot we indexed. Full numbers are on system requirements.

Which app to launch

  • Full game: 4264950
  • Demo: 4437930 (listed 19 February 2026, back for Next Fest in June)

Creative Mode, the 1.0 building unlocks, and achievements are full-game features. If Steam opens the demo after you paid, use the library entry for the full title. Cloud saves are per product; do not assume a demo profile becomes a 1.0 trophy profile.

What to play first this week

  1. How to Play until claiming, placing, and clicking are automatic.
  2. Building Synergies before you spend a pile of stones on a lonely quarry.
  3. Early Skill Nodes before Multi Claim and Chest Discovery fight each other.
  4. Chest Events the first time a box offers Tempest.
  5. Creative Mode when you want a sketch, not a reset.
  6. Late-game buildings when stars, not food, are the wall.
  7. Achievements if you are hunting the 26 trophies.
  8. Known issues if a quest counter sits still.

The review is the purchase verdict if you are still on the store page. A demo-era first-look video sits there so you can see the loop; building names in old footage will not always match the 1.0 roster.

What launch week is not

It is not a codes event. It is not a multiplayer test. It is not a promise that Portal is documented. It is not a reason to ignore 0.6.2 if your Storm recap still breaks — that would be a regression ticket, not a “wait for 1.1” shrug.

How we will update this page

When Steam publishes a new community announcement, this wiki should grow a new updates child or revise Patch 1.0, then trim this launch-week article so it stays a time capsule. We will not silently rewrite 17 August into a later balance pass.

Official links, mail, and the community hub stay on the Links Hub. If you only bookmark one updates URL this week, bookmark Steam news for 4264950, then this hub.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Farewells Clicker questions.

Is there a patch after 1.0 yet?

Not in the public news feed we indexed on launch day. Check Steam news for app 4264950.

How long does the launch discount last?

The store listed the introductory −15% through 31 August 2026. Confirm the live widget.

Should I keep the demo installed?

Only to compare. Achievements and Creative Mode are on the full app 4264950.

Where is the IdleCub video?

Steam pointed at youtube.com/@idlecub and twitch.tv/idle_cub. That post is a broadcast pointer, not a numbered patch.
